On September 29th, the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s (NOCC) is holding its 4th Annual “Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer” 5K Run/3K Walk at the Westfield Annapolis Mall. McNamee, Hosea, Jernigan, Kim, Greenan & Lynch, P.A., are once again honored and excited to be participating in this amazing event!
Last year, the firm came together as a whole in efforts to help our local community raise funds towards Ovarian Cancer education and awareness. Together, we formed the team “McNamee Hosea Teal Appeal”, lead by Pat Harris, wife of McNamee Hosea employee, Richard Weills. Pat was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago. The Teal Appeal was able to raise $6,255 with the help of McNamee Hosea who matched all of their employees’ contributions. The event was a huge success and “McNamee Hosea Teal Appeal” ranked 4th out of over 90 teams for the contributions made to the NOCC. Along with an outpouring of contributions, there were a large number of participants either walking or running. Attorneys, staff, friends and family came together to run/walk in support of all those whose lives have been affected by ovarian cancer.
This year, we are hoping to raise $10,000.00 for this amazing organization and cause! The “McNamee Hosea Teal Appeal” team is open to anyone who would like to participate and help to spread the word about ovarian cancer. The deadline to pre-register and receive a NOCC Race Day Tee-Shirt is September 1st. Registration is $25.00 for adults (18 years and older) and $15.00 for youth (17 years and younger). After September 1st, registration increases to $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for youth entries. There is no entry fee for children in strollers.
